Mission Fair

What is a mission fair you ask-----? Why have a mission fair? What goes into a mission fair?
A mission fair is an opportunity for a congregation to come together to celebrate God’s mission to the people of the world and our surrounding communities.
It is an opportunity for people to learn, ask questions and find ways to get involved in bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people.
And it’s a time to have fun celebrating the diversity of the people God has made and calls into His church on earth.
It is an opportunity to see how God is working in our Church and all the ways each of us can be used of God to fulfill His purpose for us here on earth.

• To help participants understand the great need for the Gospel that still exists not only around the world, but also in our local community.
• To help them see how they can help meet the need.
• To get them excited about supporting missionaries and mission projects through their
prayers, gifts and service.
• To give them the opportunity to find out if God might be calling them to get involved in a ministry service in their Church.
• To familiarize them with what God is already doing in their Church, to reach out to our community and all nations of the world, and to give them a chance to celebrate it!

Our mission fair purpose is to  make people aware of the many avenues available in our church, that they may become a part of a ministry/mission.

The first step is planning. We think about exactly what our church hopes to accomplish at the fair.

We want to help adults and children become aware of  the need to share the Gospel of Jesus with everyone, so we will displays the different missions, ministries and opportunities available in all age ranges.

We hope to encourage people in our congregation to support a mission effort, missionary or a specific group.  We hope to get more of our church members actively involved.
